BRATTLEBORO
DAWN DANCES
Survival Guide

Is this your first Dawn Dance? Bring a water bottle, three outfits and a towel. Showers are available but sleeping at the dance is not allowed due to fire regulations. Coffee, snacks and t-shirts are for sale, or you can bring your own munchies.

Preventive Napping: If you're going to stay up late, it's better to take a nap early in the day, rather than wait until you're exhausted to catch a little shut-eye. Researchers deprived 40 healthy young adults of all but one two-hour nap during 56 hours of sustained wakefulness.

As you might expect, people did not feel as sleepy before the six and 18-hour naps, and their naps were lighter and shorter than the later ones. Nevertheless, they performed better.
